Terms of Service
Last updated: October 12, 2026
Genesys services are operated by Rivify Brasil Ltda, Brazilian corporate taxpayer number (CNPJ) 68.145.965/0001-06.
By using Genesys services, you agree to the terms below. Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing the website, purchasing a license or using any Genesys service, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must not use our services.
2. License and Use
When you purchase a service, Genesys grants you a non-exclusive, limited license to its original components and the contracted services, always within the rights that legally belong to Genesys. This license does not cover third-party software, code, trademarks or content.
The license is personal, non-transferable and tied to the Genesys account, the contracting customer and the authorized server(s). License ownership may not be transferred, assigned, resold or shared between accounts, companies, projects or third parties, unless expressly authorized in writing by Genesys.
- You may only use the software on the server(s) authorized under your license.
- You may not resell, rent, share, lend, sublicense, transfer, assign or distribute the software, the account or license access.
- You may not reverse engineer, decompile or modify the software without explicit permission.
- You may not remove protection systems, license checks or copyright notices.
- You must not use the software for illegal purposes or in a way that violates third-party rights.
- Any attempt to transfer, commercialize, share or bypass the authorized use of the license may result in suspension, blocking or termination of the license and account, without prejudice to outstanding charges and other measures allowed by applicable law.
2.1. Scope of services, third-party rights and no affiliation
The contract covers technical programming, customization, integration, configuration, maintenance, documentation and support services, as well as the right to use original components developed by Genesys, to the extent those components are independent and legally protectable.
- Genesys does not claim ownership of MU Online, the original game software, trademarks, characters, maps, images, sounds, text, code or other assets of WEBZEN or its licensors.
- References to MU Online and WEBZEN are solely descriptive of compatibility and technical context and do not indicate partnership, representation, authorization, sponsorship or endorsement.
- The Genesys license does not sell, transfer, sublicense or authorize the use of any third-party intellectual property right.
- The customer is responsible for holding all licenses, permissions and authorizations required to use any third-party software, client, server, content or asset in their project and for complying with the applicable owners’ terms.
- Nothing in these Terms authorizes copying, modification, distribution, commercial exploitation or creation of derivative works in violation of third-party rights or contracts.
If we receive a substantiated notice of possible intellectual-property infringement, we may investigate and, where appropriate, suspend, remove or restrict access to the disputed material and request additional information from the parties involved.
3. License Model
In addition to the free Genesys 6 version, Genesys offers two license options for Genesys Plus: Genesys Flex and Genesys Lifetime. Both provide access to the same Genesys Plus features and include its updates, under the conditions shown on the plans page and in the official forum store.
Genesys Flex requires an active license renewed every 30 days; inactive periods do not accrue charges. Genesys Lifetime is a one-time purchase and does not require periodic renewal. Optional services or features outside the purchased scope may be charged separately if disclosed before purchase.
The purchase does not transfer intellectual property: it only grants a right to use Genesys’s own components within the plan limits and does not include rights belonging to WEBZEN or any third party.
4. Payments and Subscriptions
- Prices, billing cycles and conditions are shown on the plans page, the official forum store or the checkout environment.
- Failure to renew a Genesys Flex license may result in suspension of access to that license’s features.
- Optional services or features not included in the purchased license may require separate payment if their price and scope are disclosed before purchase.
- Taxes and fees may apply according to applicable law.
5. Account Responsibility
- You are responsible for keeping your login and password confidential.
- Any activity carried out under your account is presumed to be your responsibility.
- If you suspect unauthorized access, you must notify us immediately.
6. Prohibited Activities
You must not:
- Attempt to bypass or disable security, licensing or protection mechanisms.
- Use the software to host fraudulent or malicious servers.
- Use bots or automated tools to attack or overload our systems.
- Engage in any action that harms Genesys, other customers or third parties.
7. Service Availability and Changes
Genesys strives to provide stable services, but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, technical issues, updates and external factors may affect availability.
We may modify, suspend or discontinue features, plans or services, providing reasonable notice whenever possible.
8. Support and Updates
- Customers with an active plan may request support by e-mail at [email protected], through the forum contact form or via WhatsApp +55 11 5190-0862.
- Response time may vary depending on demand and the level of support included in your plan.
- Updates may include fixes, improvements and new features, according to your license.
9. Limitation of Liability
Genesys is not liable for:
- Loss of revenue, loss of profits or any indirect, incidental or consequential damages.
- Issues caused by misconfiguration of your server, hosting provider, network or third-party services.
- Misuse of the software, violations of these terms or non-compliance with applicable law by the customer.
Where liability cannot be excluded, Genesys’s total liability is limited to the amount paid by the customer in the 12 (twelve) months prior to the event.
10. Termination of Access
Genesys may suspend or terminate a customer’s access, in whole or in part, in the following situations:
- Violation of these Terms of Service.
- Attempted transfer, assignment, resale, rental, sharing or sublicensing of the license, account or software access.
- Illegal or abusive use of the software.
- Actions that compromise the stability or security of our services.
- Court orders or requests from competent authorities.
Genesys may also suspend or terminate any license, including lifetime or perpetual licenses, in cases of fraud, slander, defamation or libel (as defined by law), dissemination of demonstrably false information, harassment, threats, deliberate attempts to harm the reputation, honor or image of the company, its staff or its customers, or any abusive, unlawful or bad-faith conduct incompatible with contractual good faith.
This provision does not cover the regular exercise of the right to criticize, complain or freely express an opinion, even if unfavorable to Genesys, as long as it is done lawfully and in good faith. Where such conduct is identified, Genesys may, depending on the case and its severity, grant the customer a reasonable period to stop the conduct before applying the measure. In cases of proven fraud or unlawful conduct, suspension or termination may be immediate and without any refund of amounts paid, without prejudice to other applicable civil and criminal measures.
When reasonable, Genesys may notify the customer about the suspension or termination. In cases of fraud, security risk, serious violation, license misuse or legal order, the measure may be immediate.
11. Changes to these Terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. Important changes will be announced on our website or via e-mail. Continued use of the service after publication of the changes implies acceptance of the updated version.
12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil.
The courts of the District (Comarca) of Paulista, State of Pernambuco, Brazil, are elected to settle any disputes arising from these Terms. In consumer relations, the consumer's right to file suit in the court of their own domicile is preserved, pursuant to article 101, I, of the Brazilian Consumer Code.
